Dear Friends –

I hope this email finds you well. As the world navigates the uncertainty of a pandemic and adapts to a “new normal,” it’s encouraging to know we’re all doing what we can for the safety and well-being of the global community at large. Most of us are experiencing significant life changes. Schools and businesses are closing. Millions are working and learning from home. And many cannot work at all. It can be challenging to accept so much change so suddenly, which is why the Cinthia Ane’ Team has been busy thinking about the best way to support you and your needs right now.

Here are a few resources to help you stay positive, stay healthy, and stay productive during this unique time.

Mortgage help

Lawmakers and lenders are working together to create assistance programs to keep the health crisis from becoming a housing crisis. The CARES Act gives two major types of relief to homeowners with federally backed loans. It blocks lenders from starting foreclosure proceedings on those loans for at least 60 days. And, it gives homeowners experiencing financial hardships because of COVID-19 the option to request up to 180 days of forbearance on their mortgage.

Self-care and social distancing

We all have our unique way of self-caring, but most people realize their usual methods conflict with social distancing guidelines. And while it may seem like everything is changing around you, don’t overlook the excellent opportunities that are available. Many local museums, libraries, entertainment venues, and gyms are offering virtual experiences and services to keep people connected and engaged while at home.

Parenting during a pandemic

The work-from-home model is an adjustment for many. But parents suddenly find themselves juggling both the demands of work and child care. Are you trying to figure out how to finish a project on time while explaining fractions to your children? The secret to accomplishing both: create a routine. And don’t forget to carve out time for play, individually and as a family.

Giving back during the pandemic

The enormous financial stress caused by this global health emergency is creating new needs and exacerbating others. So, what can you do to help the individuals and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? Donate to nonprofits helping to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Volunteer for organizations that are providing critical services. Highlight the needs that exist and use your social media platforms to share information on how you are helping. Inspire others to take action.

At times like these, when there’s a lot we can’t control, let’s try to focus on what we do have power over – our outlook. Stay positive. Stay safe. And stay home!

– The Cinthia Ane’ Team
